Heartfelt I

Help me, Lord, to know that.
You can bring people into my life, both temporarily and permanently.

In both circumstances, help me to love freely and without boundaries.
To appreciate those on a long-term basis and never grow weary of them,
And when it's time, release those on a short-term basis, no matter how hard.

Concerning those meant for but a moment
Bring to my consciousness, Lord, the fact that it will not be easy to let go.
When I look back, I might still yearn for those moments I had with them.

But give me solace in the knowledge that

Those were the times when your hands reached out to help in my times of despair.

And go on with the healing it has brought me.
